is to effectively lead the congregation into the presence of the Lord through praise and worship.
The goal of the Worship Team is stated in 2 Chronicles 5:11-15. Verse 13 points out that "the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord". The primary goal of the Worship Team is to play and sing as one.
The result is stated in verses 14-15: "the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; so that the priests could not minister by reason of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God." It it important to note that God’s presence that day was not solely dependent on how well the Levitical "worship team" ministered, but rather the culminating result of of the nation’s (congregation) obedience and faithfulness over time in building the Temple.

As communicated on our Dance Team Ministry page, Ohev believes in spending the time necessary to praise and worship the Lord, and we spend a great deal of time doing so through music. Scripturally, the use of music expresses love, praise and adoration for God, brings comfort, contributes to spiritual warfare, manifests the Word of God, glorifies God, facilitates the moving of the Holy Spirit, etc. Music ministry is an essential part of Sabbath services, Feast celebrations, special events, home meetings, etc. Consequently, Ohev is committed to providing the resources, environment, training, and encouragement necessary to ensure this ministry is of the highest quality possible.
