Mission Statement
To engage both our local and global neighbors to share the hope we have in Yeshua by being witnesses of the good news to the Jewish community through service, hospitality, fellowship, prayer, and living lives consistent with the example of the Messiah.
We are prayerfully seeking members who feel God may be moving them to bring a new dimension to their spiritual journey in a profound way, by dedicating their time and efforts to the pursuit of the Outreach SERVE team mission objectives.
Ohev Outreach SERVE team members are effectively ambassadors for our congregation as we "hit the streets" to share our testimonies both verbally and through acts of service. We want to offer team members opportunities for personal growth and edification, as well as the opportunity to practice the many talents we have each received through the art of active discipleship. Through God's grace, we consider each outreach event to be an opportunity for growth, compassion, and ministry which can strengthen the body of believers if stewarded well.
It's our expectation that the team itself will be a rewarding opportunity for personal growth, and a fun and deliberate way to serve Yeshua. Given the heavy reverence we give this opportunity to engage our community, we encourage interested individuals to review the team member description below.
What can be expected:
-Monthly team meetings (virtual)(required)
-Strategic planning sessions
-Event coordination planning
-Events that will fall under the Outreach SERVE Team in the future include the Passover Freedom 5K, Celebrate Israel event in Fairfax, Chanukah Celebration. We will also be working as a team to brainstorm and craft a variety of new and exciting charity drives, worship concerts, prayer events, and more.
-12 month commitment to the Outreach SERVE Team.
